PRISCILA IZOLDI ARCHITECTURE
ABOUT ME

Architect graduated with a Bachelor in Architecture (B. Arch) from FAU-Mackenzie, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and a Doctor in Architecture (D. Arch) from the University of Hawai'i.
I used to live and work in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. In 2011 I moved to Hawai'i and experienced the fusion of my educational and professional experience from Brazil with the cultural and environmentally-conscious design paradigm of Hawai'i.
Because of my background, my design thinking is often inspired by the Brazilian modernism. This iconic architectural movement teaches me to value formal simplicity and attention to materiality and detail.
Through my doctoral research I established an innovative design criteria by taking existing concepts regarding biophilic design and further applying them to contemporary urban playgrounds.
I value sustainable and culturally-sensitive design; an architecture that is respectful and sincere to people and places.
